Lawrence E. Wraith, senior member of the real estate and insurance firm of Wraith & Farish of Woodland, has been a lifelong resident of California.  He was born in Hanford, Kings county, July 10, 1893, and the grammar schools of Oakland afforded him his early educational opportunities.  After his graduation from the Woodland high school he took a course in architecture in the University of California at Berkeley, and returning to Woodland in 1917, he entered its business circles.  Since that time he has handled real estate and insurance and has specialized in the sale of farm lands, being thoroughly familiar with acreage property of this locality.  He is now a director in the California Real Estate & Insurance Association, is a member of the national association, and is a past president and secretary of the local real estate board.

In 1919 Mr. Wraith was married to Miss Vivian Marie Hollman and they have two children, Majel and Phyllis.  Mrs. Wraith is an active club member and also figures prominently in local musical circles.  Mr. Wraith belongs to the Elks lodge of Woodland, to the Lions Club, and to the Christian Church, which he has served in the capacity of secretary and other official connections.  He has also done effective work as a member of both the grammar and high school boards of Woodland and his aid and influence are always on the side of progress, reform and improvement.
