JAMES K. ABERCROMBIE
James K. Abercrombie was born at Tulare, California, October 20, 1907, the son of L. L. and Davena K. (Fraser).
He graduated from the University of California with the degrees of A.B. and LL.B. and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1931. He is also a member of the bars of the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of California, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Abercrombie was associated with the firm of Farnsworth, Burke & Maddox from 1931 to 1940, and has been a partner in the firm of Maddox & Abercrombie since 1940. His practice is general, mainly in the fields of business, corporation, probate, oil and gas and water law.
He is a member of the American Bar Association; California State Bar Association; Tulare County Bar Association; Visalia Chamber of Commerce; Commonwealth Club of San Francisco, University of California Alumni Association; University of California Law School Association; Alpha Chi Rho; Phi Delta Phi; Pi Alpha Delta; Tulare County Historical Society, Visalia Country Club; Tulare Gun Club and the Family Club of San Francisco.
He married Margaret Bequette on September 9, 1936. They have three children: James K. Jr., 1940; Le Bon G., 1943; Susan, 1948.
