JOHN R. HOOKER

 

 

            John R. Hooker, stock broker, was born March 30, 1903, in San Francisco, California.  He is the son of Robert G. and Elizabeth Shreve Hooker.  He graduated from Harvard University in 1925, receiving the degree of A.B.

            Mr. Hooker has been senior partner of Hooker & Fay, brokerage, in San Francisco, California, since 1929.  He was chairman of the finance committee of the San Francisco Stock Exchange for the years 1948 and 1949.  He graduated from The Santa Barbara School in 1921, and is a member of the Alumni Association, and is also president of the board of trustees.  He belongs to the following clubs:  The Pacific-Union Club and Burlingame Country Club.

            Mr. Hooker married Josephine Dunham in 1934, and they have one son, Anthony Shreve Hooker.
