CARL G. CLAUSSEN
Carl
G. Classen, president of Northern California Hardware
and Steel Company, San Francisco, was born October 27, 1896, in San Francisco,
California. He is the son of John and Paula (Rumetsch)
Claussen.
His education was obtained in the
public grade and high schools of San Francisco and San Mateo, California.
Mr. Claussen
became clerk for the Pacific Hardware and Steel Company at San Francisco,
California, in 1911, sales manager for the Judson Manufacturing Company, Oakland,
California, in 1917, and vice president of B. Nicoll
& Company, Inc., New York City, in 1925. He has been president of the
Northern California Hardware and Steel Company, San Francisco, since 1934;
president of Beatie Steel Supply Company, Oakland,
California, since 1930; president of Northern California Commercial Company,
San Francisco since 1951, and president of Shasta Steel Products Company, San
Francisco since 1948.
Member of the Masonic Order, Royal
Arch Mason, Knight Templar and Shriner.
Mr. Claussen
married Helene Smith on October 16, 1930. Their home is at 2957 Adelene Drive, Burlingame, California.
