NATHAN NEVIN
N. NEVIN, farmer of O’Neil
Township, was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, July 29, 1834, son of Alexander
and Sarah Nevin; the father a native of Alleghany County, Pennsylvania, born
November 1, 1805, and died in Lodi, California, April 4, 1884; the mother was

to the place where he now resides. The ranch contains 172 acres, situated about
four and a half miles from Stockton.
The principal product of the farm is wheat.
Mr. Nevin was married to Miss Mary C.
Keagle, who was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania, February, 1836. She has three brothers and two
sisters residing in California, namely: John L. Keagle, farmer in San Joaquin
County; Alfred, farmer, Sacramento County; Charles H. Keagle, city of Stockton;
Mrs. C. T. Elliott, of Lodi; Mrs. H. Timis, of Lodi.
