force of the New York Life Insurance Company.
Two sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. McCausland, Edward G., of this

Missouri for California in 1911 and settled in Lodi, where the father passed
away at the age of sixty years, while the mother is still living and resides in
Lodi.

was sent to Camp Lewis in the 166th Depot Brigade and was a member
of the third officer’s training camp at Camp Lewis; later he was transferred to
the 316th Military Police of the 91st Division and was
sent overseas, where he took part in four major engagements, namely, St. Mihiel, Argonne, Lyse-Scheldt and
the attack on Audenarde. After the war he was stationed at La Ferte-Bernard, the embarkation area of France. In 1919 he returned to the United States and
the same year was honorably discharged from the service at the Presidio with
the rank of corporal. Upon his return to
Lodi he engaged in the real estate business and is also the owner of 120 acres
