GREENLAW GRUPE
Greenlaw Grupe, vice president of Sims & Grupe Real Estate Firm, was born in Stockton, California, on March 12, 1912; the son of George W. and Edna I. (Greenlaw) Grupe. He received his B.A. from College of the Pacific in 1933.
From 1933 to 1936 Mr. Grupe was a partner in Grupe and Weaver, automobile super-service station at El Dorado and Vine Streets, Stockton, California, engaging in sale of gas and oil, lubrication, car washing, motor tune-up, general repairing, sale of tries, batteries, etc. In 1936 he was employed by George E. Crane Company as a real estate salesman, and in 1938 he purchased a half interest in the firm, the name then changing to Sims and Grupe Real Estate Firm, of which he is vice president. Also president of Lincoln Properties, Inc., who are developing an eighteen-hundred-acre subdivision and complete community development two miles north of Stockton, known as Lincoln Village.
Mr. Grupe is also engaged in farm and cattle operation in the Lincoln area, fifteen miles east of Stockton. The operations cover approximately one thousand acres.
Member of Stockton Realty Board; California Real Estate Association; National Association of Real Estate Boards; Community Builders Council of the Urban Land Institute of the National Association of Real Estate Boards; Stockton District Red Kidney Bean Association; and California Walnut Growers Association.
Mr. Grupe married Anne Marie Dervin, of Stockton, California, in l935. They have three children: Greenlaw Grupe, Jr., born in 1937; Luanne Grupe, born in 1941; and Susan Grupe, born in 1948.
