H. L. VIDRICKSEN, M. D.
Although
a comparative newcomer in the medical profession of Siskiyou county,
California, Dr. H. L. Vidricksen, who is the
physician in charge of the hospital of the Long-Bell Lumber Company at Weed,
has acquired a wide reputation and has won a secure place in the confidence of
the citizens. In addition to his duties
in the hospital, he also engages in private practice. Dr. Vidricksen was born in the state of
Kansas, November 8, 1899, a son of J. C. and Christine (Rasmussen) Vidricksen, and is of Danish descent. The father was a farmer, but never came to
California. Dr. Vidricksen
received his common school education in Salina, Kansas, and later attended the
Kansas State University at Lawrence.
After his graduation from this institution, he entered the Kansas City
Medical School, from which he received his medical degree in 1928. The then came to the San Joaquin Hospital at
French Camp as resident physician, and later went to Stirling
City as physician for the Diamond Match Company. He remained in that connection for three months, then came to Weed, California, where he is in charge
of the hospital maintained by the Long-Bell Lumber Sales Corporation. This is a strictly up-to-date hospital and
has twenty beds. Dr. Vidricksen
was married to Louise Swan, who is a trained nurse and a graduate of Kansas
University, and they have one child, Suzanne.
