TOM O’RILEY
Tom O’Riley, who for a number of years has been one of the owners of the leading pool room in Yreka, was born in Wyoming, in July, 1879, and was there reared, receiving his education in the public schools. He then became a “cow puncher,” which work he followed for sixteen years, after which he engaged in the saloon business. He carried that business on for eight years, and then went to South America, where he spent eighteen months. Returning to the United States in 1904, he located in Sheridan, Wyoming, for a short time and then came to California. In 1920 he located in Weed, this state, and more recently came to Yreka, where he entered into a partnership with L. B Collins and established a pool room and soft drink parlor. They have a well equipped and attractive place and from the beginning have enjoyed the patronage of the best people of the community.
Mr. O’Riley was united in marriage to Miss Marjorie Moore. He is a member of Ashland Lodge, No. 944, B. P. O. E., at Ashland, Oregon, and is deservedly popular among his associates. Fishing is his favorite sport and he is an expert in angling for the finny tribe.
