JAMES FLORATOS
James Floratos, member of the firm of Toskas & Floratos, owners of the Dew Drop Inn, is one of Weed’s best known citizens and the success which has come to him is the result of his energetic and well directed efforts. He was born in Greece, on 27th of May, 1904, and there attended the grade school. He lived at home until sixteen years of age, and in 1920, emigrated to the United States, coming direct to the Sacramento valley. He went to work for the McCloud Lumber Company, at McCloud, Siskiyou county, where he remained three years, and then came to Weed. Here he engaged in his present business, for which he has shown himself well adapted. The Dew Drop Inn, which is located adjoining the Log Cabin Hotel, on Main street, is a well equipped, clean and attractive place of entertainment, in which all kinds of soft drinks are sold, and which has become very popular. He gives close attention to the wants of his patrons and has won a host of warm friends.
Mr. Floratos is a member of Weed Lodge, No. 924, L. O. O. M. He stands for those things which contribute to the progress and welfare of the community and is regarded as one of its enterprising and worthy citizens.
