Herbert G. Trueman, D. D. S.
Herbert
G. Trueman, D. D. S., whose office is in the Murphy building, has been a
resident of California since 1868, and has been engaged in the practice of
dentistry since 1878. He was born in
Sackville, New Brunswick, in 1851, and is of English descent, his
great-grandfather, William Trueman, having come from England to New Brunswick
about 1790. The family have continued
to reside in that city, and Dr. Trueman’s father and family still reside
there. The father was for many years
engaged in agricultural pursuits, and also in shipping live stock to the
English markets.
Herbert
G. received his early education in the schools of his native city. He came to California in 1868, and for
several years after arriving at maturity he was engaged in mechanical
pursuits. In 1876 he commenced the
study of dentistry, under the preceptorship of Drs. Pope and Hass, formerly of
San Francisco. In 1878 he entered in
private practice, in which he has continuously remained.
