CLARENCE
E. TODD
Clarence
E. Todd, attorney, was born February 1, 1880, in Keokuk County, Iowa. The son of Louis Decatur and Mary Martha (Smith) Todd.
After graduating from the Wichita
(Kansas) High School in 1900 he attended Fairmount College (now University of
Wichita), from which he graduated in June 1904 with the degree of A.B. He was
admitted to the California State Bar on October 15, 1909.
Mr. Todd is a member of the State
Bar of California, San Francisco Bar Association; Commonwealth Club (chairman
of Section on Legislation and Elections and of other Sections, member of the
Board of Governors, member of Speakers Committee), Parkside District Club
(former president); Masonic Fraternity, Order of the Mystic Shrine, Order of
the Eastern Star (past patron); Junior Order of United American Mechanics (past
counselor); Improved Order of Red Men (past sachem, past deputy grand sachem).
Mr. Todd, for many years, has been
attorney for the California State Federation of Labor, specializing in
injunction and constitutional law cases. He has also handled similar work for
the Brotherhood of Carpenters, hotel and Restaurant Employees’ International,
Barbers and Beauticians International, Brotherhood of Painters and other labor
organizations.
In recent years Mr. Todd has been
head of the firm of Todd and Todd, comprising himself and his son, Henry C.
Todd, with offices at 625 Market Street, San Francisco, California.
