FREDERICK FOLGER THOMAS, JR.
Frederick
Folger Thomas, Jr., attorney, was born October 26,
1885, in Oakland, California; the son of Frederick Folger
and Nora (Peck) Thomas.
His academic and legal education was
obtained at the University of California where he received the degree of A.B.
in 1908 and the degree of J.D. in 1911; admitted to the California State Bar,
at San Francisco, in 1911.
Mr. Thomas began law practice in San
Francisco, California, in association with the firm of Page, McCutchen, Knight & Olney. The
firm later became McCutchen, Olney, Willard, Mannon & Greene, then McCutchen,
Olney, Mannon, & Greene. This firm maintains
offices in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, California.
Member of the American Bar
Association, Bar Association of San Francisco, State Bar of California;
American Petroleum Institute; California Historical Society; Delta Tau Delta,
Phi Delta Phi; and the following clubs: Pacific-Union, University,
Commonwealth; Diablo Country; and Book of California.
On December 17, 1913, Mr. Thomas
married Alice Louise Paine and they have two children, Elisabeth (Mrs. Norman
John Hearn) and William Paine (M.D.).
