GERALD
HARRISON SIMON
Gerald
Harrison Simon, president and co-founder of Simon Millinery Company, was born
in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 14, 1888; the son of Fred and Theresa
(Goldberg) Simon. He received his education in the public schools of Salt Lake
City, Utah.
Mr. Simon founded the Simon
Millinery Company, San Francisco, in 1909 with his brother Irwin B. Simon. He
first served as vice president of the company and is now president. Originators of sports hats and makers of Meadowbrook hats.
Member of Manufacturers and
Wholesalers Association of San Francisco, of which he is past president and
organizer; chairman of Apparel and Textile Section since 1948 and member of San
Francisco Chamber of Commerce; Mason, Thirty-Second Degree Shriner;
member of Temple Emanu-El; and member of Concordia
Argonaut and Commonwealth Clubs of San Francisco.
