HENRY G. SIEBERST

 

 

H. G. SIEBERST was born in New York City, January 3, 1846.  His father, a Mexican veteran, came to California in 1849, and his death occurred in 1867.

      Mr. Sieberst became a resident of this state in 1851, during his early childhood, and here he was reared and educated.  He entered the law office of Hon. Eugene Casserly, where he pursued his legal studies, and in 1867 was admitted to the bar.  He then opened an office in this city, and for more than twenty years has successfully practiced his profession in the courts of this city and State.  During his experience in law practice he has given much attention to mining and corporation law

JOHN GALWAY, M. D.

 

 

JOHN GALWAY, M. D., whose office is at No. 659 Clay street, San Francisco, was born in Grass Valley, Nevada county, California, August 17, 1863, and has been engaged in the practice of medicine since 1885.  His early education was received in the private schools, and later in the San Francisco High School.  He commenced the study of medicine in 1880, under the preceptorship of his uncle, Dr. James Murphy, who was one of the well-known physicians of San Francisco for many years.  In 1883 Dr. Galway entered the medical department of the University of California, where he graduated in 1885, receiving the degree of Doctor of Medicine.  He at once entered into private practice in his present office.

      He is a member of the San Francisco Parlor, N. S. G. W., and also of the Young Men’s Institute of California.

      Dr. Galway’s father, Philip Galway, a native of the county of Cork, Ireland, was one of the early settlers of California, and during most of his life was engaged in mining operations.  He was superintendent of the Allison Rachel mine during its active operation.  He died in 1870.
