P. SCHMITZ, M. D.
J. P. Schmitz, M.D., whose office is at the California
Medical College, No. 1442 Folsom street, San Francisco, a resident of
California for thirty years, and engaged in the practice of medicine for the
past ten years, is a native of Germany, born in 1834, and received his early
education in the Government and private schools of that country. At the
age of twenty-one he came to
In 1886 Dr. Schmitz was invited and appointed to the chair of Physiology and
Nervous Diseases, in the California Medical College, still holding that
position; being also a member of the State Board of Medical Examiners, as well
as a member of the State Medical Society of California, and of the County
Medical society of Physicians and Surgeons of San Francisco.
