JOSEPH E. O’DONNELL
JOSEPH E.
O’DONNELL, a San Francisco
attorney, is a native son, born in San Francisco
June 3, 1863. His father, who came to the Pacific coast
during the early days, is still living in this city. Mr. O’Donnell, after taking a collegiate
course, read law in the office of Judge Hoge, and
attended Hastings College of Law. He
passed an examination before the Supreme Court, and was admitted to the bar January 10, 1888, and since then has
successfully practiced his profession in this city. He is a member of the firm of Jones &
O’Donnell, which is counted one of the most prominent law firms of young
attorneys in San Francisco. He is also the special counsel for the city
and county of San
Francisco.
Mr. O’Donnell was
married in 1888 to Katie J. Mohrmann, a native of San
Francisco. Her
father, who died some years ago, was a prominent and well-known merchant, who
came to this State in the early ‘50s, and through his success in business life
left a large inheritance to his children.
