E.H. Mattner, M. D.
E.H.
Mattner, M. D., whose office is at No. 322 McAllister street, San Francisco, has
been a resident of California since 1884, and has been engaged in the practice
of medicine since 1887. He was born in
Adelaide, South Australia, in 1859, and is of German descent, his parents
having been natives of Prussia, but were among the early settlers of
Australia. The father, Dr. J.C.
Mattner, was a graduate of the Berlin University, and practiced medicine during
his life-time in Adelaide. He died in
that city, in 1880.
The subject of this sketch received his
early education in he public schools of his native city, and later entered St.
Peter’s College in that city, where he graduated after a course of two
years. In 1884, he came to California,
and in the spring of that year he entered the Hahnemann Hospital College,
graduating at that institution in 1887, and receiving the degree of Doctor of
Medicine. He at once entered into
private practice, in which he has since continued in San Francisco. Dr. Mattner is a member of the State
Homeopathic Medical Society of California; is visiting physician and surgeon to
the Old Ladies’ Home, and also Visiting Physician to the “Sheltering Arms.”
