S. LANGENDORF
Stanley
S. Langendorf, baking company executive, was born July 30, 1890, in Chicago,
Illinois; the son of Bernard and Sarah (Judesberg)
Langendorf. He was educated at Wilmerding School of Industrial Arts, San Francisco,
California and took special business administration courses.
He started in his father’s business
in 1914; organized the Langendorf Baking Company in 1915, serving as vice
president, general manager and director. Organized the Langendorf Baking Company
of Delaware in 1926 for the purpose of acquiring additional bakeries on the
Pacific Coast, was president, general manager, and director. Organized
Langendorf United Bakeries, Inc. in 1928; president, general manager and
director. The company absorbed Langendorf Baking Company of Delaware and
acquired plants in metropolitan cities of the Pacific Coast from Seattle to Los
Angeles; the present company now operates twenty plants.
He is a member of the Commonwealth
Club and the Concordia Club. His hobbies are golf, swimming, equitation,
yachting, the theater and dancing. Published, “Idle Men and Idle Money Spell
