CHARLES
KENDRICK
Charles
Kendrick, corporation executive, was born in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Kendrick is president of Schlage Lock Company of California, and president of S. O.
S. Company of Chicago, and Cleanser Products Corporation of Chicago. He was
trustee of San Francisco War Memorial, 1920-38; member of Advisory Committee of
San Francisco Water System, 1923-26; member of San Francisco Planning
Commission, 1924-30; member of San Francisco Relief Committee, 1932-34; vice
president of Golden Gate International Exposition, 1938-40.
Trustee of Phelan
Foundation for the Poor; president of Board of Trustees of Mills College, 1943-46
(now honorary trustee).
Member of the Board of Governors of
San Francisco Opera Association, also of San Francisco Art Museum; member of
Board of Directors of San Francisco Art Association, also of California School
of Fine Arts; president of Pan America Society, San Francisco, 1942-43; member
of San Francisco Civilian War Council; member of Advisory Board of War
Production Board. Member of the Bohemian, Pacific-Union, and Press Clubs, Menlo
Country Club, San Francisco Golf Club.
Mr. Kendrick served as captain with
the 26th Division, and later as major with the 5th Army
Corps, United States Army, World War. Decorated with the Silver Star, Order of
the Purple Heart (United States); Order of St. Olav (Norway); Officer of Legion
of Honor (France); and Gold Medal of the Pan American Society.
