Oscar F. Hunsaker was born in 1839, in Illinois. His parents went South to New Orleans during his early boyhood and he attended school there and in Texas. He studied law at the University of Louisiana at New Orleans, and also in Kentucky; was admitted to the bar in 1860 and practiced his professions in New Orleans; was appointed Judge of the Courts in that City; was elected to the State, Senate, and afterward elected to the Legislature of that State.
He came to California in 1874, and in
1876 went to Arizona, and was there and in El Paso for several years. Then he went to New Orleans, and after
remaining there two or three years returned to California and since then has
practiced law in San Diego and San Francisco.
