LEONARD HUGHSON
William
Leonard Hughson, president of The William L. Hughson Company, was born November
13, 1869, in Buffalo, New York; the son of George II and Helen (McLaroth) Hughson. Received his education at Devoe College.
Mr. Hughson has been president of
the William Hughson Company, San Francisco, California, since 1892. Also owner and director of Hughson & Merton; and trustee of
Universal Underwriters.
He is past president, member of
executive committee and director of the National Automobile Dealers
Association; director and past president of San Francisco Motor Car Dealers
Association; director and past president of Northern California Motor Car
Dealers Association; past president, member and director of Down Town Association,
San Francisco; member of Advisory Board of the Salvation Army.
Mr.
Hughson is a Mason, 32nd degree Shriner,
past potentate, jester, and past director; chairman of Shrine of East-West
Football Ticket Committee; Elk; and member of the following clubs: The Family,
Press, Olympic, Union League, and Kiwanis.
On April
18, 1893, he married Angelica Whitney (deceased). His second marriage was to
Lottie M. Taylor on July 11, 1942.
