EDGAR A. HILLS
Edgar A. Hills, corporation executive, was born in San Francisco, California, on September 21, 1904; son of Frank H. and Rose (Lehmkuhl) Hills. He received his education in the public schools.
From 1922 to 1927 Mr. Hills was purchasing agent for Linde Air Products Company and also for Prest-o-lite Company; secretary and treasurer of Savage Transportation Company from 1927 to 1941; co-founder and original secretary-treasurer of Pacific Intermountain Express; owner of Hills Transportation from 1927 to 1941; Hills Transportation Co. incorporated in 1947 and Mr. Hills is now owner and president. He is president of Publishers Motor Transport, founded in 1950; editor and publisher of Go Magazine from 1941 to 1948.
Member of San Francisco Horsemens Association; San Francisco Sheriff’s Mounted Posse; Sonoma County Trail Blazers; Frontier Boys; Junior Chamber of Commerce; Native Sons; Elks Lodge, Transportation, Advertising and Jonathan Clubs.
Mr. Hills married Evelyn M. Savage on June 7, 1930; children: Joan, Edgar and Carolyn.
