GRIFFITH
HENSHAW
Griffith Henshaw, a product of the Golden state and president of the Henshaw Investment Company of San Francisco, was born in Oakland, October 10, 1893, a son of William G. and Hetty (Tubbs) Henshaw. The father was a financier of high standing, a patron of the arts and one of San Francisco’s foremost citizens. A sketch of his life precedes this biography.
Griffith Henshaw enlisted for service in the World war, becoming a member of the aviation corps of the United States Army. After receiving his honorable discharge he returned home and has since given his attention to financial matters as president of the Henshaw Investment Company.
In 1922 Mr. Henshaw was married in Oakland to Miss Irene Rowlands, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rowlands, of Ogden, Utah, and they now have two children, William Griffith Henshaw (III) and Mary Tom Henshaw. The residence of the family is at 25 Glen Alpine road, Piedmont, and Mr. Henshaw maintains his office at 200 Bush street, San Francisco. His political allegiance is given to the republican party.
