FRANCK
ROBERTS HAVENNER
Franck
Roberts Havenner, United States Congressman, was born
September 20, 1882, in Sherwood, Maryland; the son of Franck Howland and Mary
Elizabeth (Roberts) Havenner.
He was a student at Columbian
College, Washington, D.C., from 1899 to 1901, and at Stanford University from
1904 to 1907.
Mr. Havenner
was a newspaper writer at San Francisco, California, from 1907 to 1917; member
of the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco from 1926 to 1936; member of the
75th and 76th Congresses from 1937 to 1941, 4th
California District. In January of 1941 he was appointed a member of the
California Railroad Commission for a term of six years. Member
of the 79th and 82nd Congresses, 4th
California District.
