ENRICO
GROSSO
A representative of the public-spirited Italian citizenship of San Francisco is Enrico Grosso, member of the undertaking firm of Tracey & Grosso at 1548 Stockton street. He was born in the country of Peru, in South America, June 16, 1896, and is a son of A. G. and Maria Teresa (Baravalle) Grosso, who now live in San Francisco. From South America, the Grosso family moved to Italy, and in 1912 came to San Francisco.
Enrico Grosso attended the grade and high schools, then entered the College of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco, and from this institution graduated in pharmacy in 1918. He next took up the study of optometry in the same school and graduated in this profession in 1920, following which he engaged in active practice in partnership with his brother, Dr. Robert Grosso, dental surgeon, who is mentioned in detail elsewhere in this publication. He remained in this vocation until 1926, when he purchased a half interest in the undertaking firm of which he is now a member. This well patronized concern has a modern funeral home, with all conveniences, including a chapel.
Mr. Grosso is active in local affairs of San Francisco, and is known as one of the most able men of the large Italian colony of this city. He belongs to the Knights of Pythias, the Order of Druids, the Foresters of America, and several Italian clubs. He is yet a bachelor, and takes keen enjoyment in outdoor sports.
