Frederik Flohr
Frederick Flohr is a painstaking artist and has done much to advance the interests of his profession on this coast. He came to San Francisco in 1875, opened a studio, and has since devoted his whole time to art. He has executed some important commissions, among others the fountain in Blair Park, Piedmont, the Winn monument at Sacramento, for the Native Sons of the Golden West, besides many private commissions.
Mr. Flohr is a native of Germany, born in Dresden in 1852, the son of a merchant. He was reared and educated in Germany, and studied his profession there. In 1873, on reaching his majority, he came to New York, and two years later took up his abode in San Francisco.
