CECIL EARL EARHART

 

 

            Cecil Earl Earhart, president of Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, was born in Montague, California, on August 12, 1890.  He is the son of Davis Carlyle and Esther Lavina (Soule) Earhart.

            Student at the University of California at Berkley, 1910 to 1911

            Mr. Earhart began his banking career in 1911 as clerk for the Wells Fargo Nevada National Bank, San Francisco, and continued with them until 1917.  He has been an officer of Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco since 1920, and president since 1946.

            He holds membership in the Masonic Order and the following clubs: Commonwealth of California, Pacific Union of San Francisco, and Claremont Country of Oakland, California.

            Mr. Earhart married Lulu Mae Draper on April 5, 1913.  They have three daughters:  Doris (Mrs. George W. McChesney), Ivah (Mrs. George Gibson), and Beatrice.
