VIRGIL
D. DARDI
Virgil
D. Dardi, president and director of Blair Holdings
Corporation, was born in Santa Barbara, California, on February 3, 1906; the
son of Umberte and Mary (Botlin)
Dardi.
His preparatory education was
obtained at Stanford University from which he graduated in 1927 with the A.B.
degree.
Mr. Dardi
was associated with the Transamerica Corporation from 1932 to 1938. He is now
president and director of Blair Holdings Corporation, Blair Rollins &
Company, Inc., and Blair Securities Corporation, New York City, with west coast
offices in San Francisco. Also director of: Lucky Stores, Inc., San Leandro,
California; Western Industries, Inc., and Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company, both of
Los Angeles; Rialb Corporation, National Phoenix
Industries, Inc., Nedricks, Inc., Chestnut Stores
Corporation; Nedrick’s Rhode Island, Inc.; Nedricks’s Leasing Corporation; and Pennsylvania Coal &
Coke Company, all of New York City; Western Pioneer Corporation, General
Refrigerator Corporation, and Spreckels Realization
Company, all of San Francisco; Baltimore Orange Products, Inc., Baltimore,
Maryland; and Textile Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico.
He holds membership in the Olympic
Club of San Francisco. Roman Catholic.
Mr. Dardi
married Elena Cavagnaro in 1930 and they are the
parents of two children: Joseph and Elenita.
