WESLEY CLINE, M.D.
John
Wesley Cline, M.D., was born in Santa Rosa, California, on July 2, 1898; the
son of John Wesley and Mary Frances (McCoy) Cline.
After receiving his A.B. from
University of California in 1921 he attended Harvard Medical School where he
received his M.D. degree in 1925.
Dr. Cline is in practice in San
Francisco, California. He is a member of the San Francisco Medical Society
(president, 1942); California Medical Association (president, 1947-48);
American Medical Association (president, 1951-52); San Francisco Surgical
Society (president, 1947); Pacific Coast Surgical Association; American College
of Surgeons; California Academy of Medicine; International College of Surgeons
(honorary); Commonwealth Club (member of Board of Governors); American Cancer
Society (secretary of California Division); and member of Cancer Commission,
California Medical Association.
Dr. Cline was a delegate to the
World Medical Association, 1948-49, and member of Council on Medical Education
and Hospitals, American Medical Association, 1952-1957.
On June
23, 1925, Dr. Cline married Edith Bertha Corde at
Berkeley, California. They have three children: John Wesley Cline, III, Robert Corde Cline and Janet Mary Cline.
