CHARLES F.
BULOTTI
The excellent reputation of Charles F. Bulotti in his native city of San Francisco is based upon two factors: first, his successful business career as the founder and head of the Charles F. Bulotti Machinery Company, situated at 829 Folsom street, and secondly, as a singer of note.
Mr. Bulotti was born in San Francisco, November 19, 1885, and is a son of the late Ferdinand and Rachele (Sciaroni) Bulotti. The father came to the United States from Switzerland in the middle ‘60s, and during his career followed the painting and decorating trade. His wife was also born in Switzerland. They were married in the United States.
Charles F. Bulotti attended the public schools, and then completed the courses in a local business college. Thus equipped, he became a stenographer for the Eccles & Smith Company, and in this connection he remained from 1900 to 1920. In the latter year, he resigned from this position, for the purpose of establishing himself in his own business. He had been thrifty, and had cherished the aspiration to be independent for many years. In 1920, he founded the Charles F. Bulotti Machinery Company, the business of which concern is the handling and selling of machine tools. He covers the entire northern part of California in his work, and has achieved prosperity through his consistent energy and attention to his affairs.
Mr. Bulotti was married to Miss Elizabeth Gleeson, who is a native of San Francisco, and they are the parents of one son, Charles F., Jr.
In musical circles, in club entertainments, and over the air in national radio broadcasts, Mr. Bulotti has commanded public attention and favorable criticism by his remarkable tenor voice. He has sung in grand opera, and has done much singing for the Bohemian and other San Francisco clubs. He is a devout communicant of the Roman Catholic Church. He also belongs to the Family Club, the Olympic Club, and the Rotary Club.
