WILLIAM
R. BACON
William
R. Bacon, business executive, was born in Oakland, California, on May 31, 1877.
He is the son of Martin and Mary E. (Shepley) Bacon.
He graduated from the University of
California in the year 1899 with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery and
began practice in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Bacon served as president of the
San Francisco Stock Exchange from 1938 to 1939. He is director of the Santa
Paula Saticoy Oil Company and also of the Bay Development Company. He was
president of the San Francisco Dental Society in 1916 and of the California
Dental Association from 1917 to 1939.
Member of the
Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity; Bohemian Club and the Stock Exchange Lunch Club
(director and treasurer).
Mr. Bacon has two children, Russell
and Betty (Mrs. Jan Tabbe). His home is at 2117 Hyde
Street, San Francisco, California.
