MRS. LINDA MORETTI
Mrs. Linda Moretti, who resides on the well known Santa Ysabel Ranch, headquarters of the Santa Ysabel
Dairy, is a part owner with George Sawday of the many
thousands of acres comprising the Santa Ysabel ranch
property. She was born in the Petaluma valley
of California and represents a pioneer
family of the Golden
State. Her parents are Charles and Catherine (Traversi) Martin, the former a successful cattle and dairy
man who operated a large ranch in Northern California. They are both deceased.
Linda
Martin became the wife of Fiorenzo Moretti, a native of Switzerland, and it was in 1906 that
this worthy couple established their home in San Diego County, California. Mr. Moretti, an
expert dairyman owned a fine ranch and dairy in the San
Jacinto valley for many years but in 1922 disposed of his holding
there and assumed the management of the large Santa Ysabel
ranch and dairy, which he operated successfully until his death in 1926. Mrs. Moretti still
resides on the Santa Ysabel main ranch, where more
than one hundred and thirty head of fine milch cows
are kept in the dairy alone and where many head of cattle are fed for the
market. The Santa Ysabel
Dairy is a member of the San Diego Milk Producers Association. Mrs. Moretti has
membership in the Julian Chamber of Commerce and is active in all civil
work. She is a member of the Catholic
