CAVE J. COUTS, JR.
Cave J. Couts, Jr., successful
investment broker of San Diego, is the namesake of his father, who resides on Cuajome Ranch near San Luis Rey in San Diego County. A
separate biography of Cave J. Couts, Sr., together with extended mention
of his father, the noted Colonel Couts, may be found elsewhere in this
publication.
Cave J. Couts, Jr., was educated at
St. Vincent’s College of Los Angeles, and has always resided in California save
for a period of about nine years spent in Tucson, Arizona. On the 30th of December, 1914, he
married Miss Irene Couts, a cousin, daughter of John Forster and Susan Martin (Gurnett) Couts. They are the parents of one child, Lily Bell,
who is now fourteen years of age. Mr.
and Mrs. Couts reside in an attractive home at 4188 Arden Way and are among the
leaders in San Diego’s younger social set.
They have membership in the La Jolla Golf Club and are ardent lovers of
the game on the links, Mrs. Couts winning the La Jolla golf tournament in
1932. Mr. Couts is affiliated
fraternally with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in San Diego and
is highly esteemed in both social and business circles of the city.
