EDWARD
PORTER PFINGST
Edward
Porter Pfingst, owner and operator of Edw. P. Pfingst Agency (insurance), was born October 4, 1894, in
Munich, Bavaria; son of Fred L. and Florence (porter) Pfingst.
He received his preparatory
education in the Watsonville public schools and at the University of
California, graduating in 1917 with the degree of A.B.
United States Navy World War I,
member of Advisory Committee of Watsonville Draft Board and chairman of
Gasoline and Mileage Panel, Pajaro Rationing Board
World War II.
Mr. Pfingst
has been owner and operator of Edw. P. Pfingst
Agency, insurance broker, since 1919. He is also president of El Pajaro Theater Company and Las Lomas Water Company,
Watsonville, California, director and member of Loan and Discount Committee of Pajaro Valley National Bank, director and member of the
Real Estate Committee of the Pajaro Valley Savings
Bank, director of the Appleton Investment Company, all of Watsonville.
Mr. Pfingst
has been married (divorced) and has one daughter, Joan. His home is in
Watsonville, California, on Salinas Road.
He is a member of the Masonic
Bodies, Elk’s Lodge of Watsonville, Bohemian Club and Islam Temple
A.A.O.N.M.S., San Francisco.
