For more than a quarter of a century

Michigan, December 16, 1871, and is a son of William and Elizabeth (Cann) Ball, natives of England. On immigrating to the United States the

Reared in the Wolverine state, Dr.
Ball was graduated from the high school at Flushing, Michigan, and next became

young man of twenty-four he began his career as a dentist at Flushing, where he
followed his profession for seven years.
In 1904 he came to Redlands and here he has since maintained a dental
office, winning a large clientele by reason of his skilful, painstaking
work. As first vice president of the
Redlands Building & Loan Association he is an influential factor in
business circles of the city and also finds time for the culture of citrus
fruit. He is particularly interested in
the growing of oranges and has brought his grove to a high state of
development.
In 1906 Dr. Ball was married to Miss
Genevieve Heath, a daughter of John Heath, who fought in the Union Army,
enlisting in New York State. The two
