 Thomas A. SCOTT, convicted of arson in the second degree in San Francisco, November, 1865, sentenced to two years imprisonment in the State Prison - (previously pardoned) restored to citizenship January 2d.

  George McKENZIE, robbery, Amador, April ‘64, seven years - pardoned and restored to citizenship January 13th.

  Lewis G. ANDERSON, murder in the second degree, Siskiyou, January, ‘63, ten years - pardoned January 13th.

  John MARR, murder in the second degree, Santa Clara, May, ‘63, to be executed, afterward commuted to imprisonment for life - pardoned and restored to citizenship January 17th.

  William LODGE, robbery, San Francisco, September, ‘60, one year - (previously pardoned) restored to citizenship, January 22d.

  Morris J. OWEN, assault to murder, Nevada, November, ‘64, three years - restored to citizenship February 3d.

  Alonzo H. DAKE, murder in the second degree, Sacramento, December, ‘63, eleven years - pardoned and restored to citizenship March 7th.

  Robert COLLINS, petit larceny, San Francisco, December, ‘67, six months in County Jail - pardoned March 10th.

  Martin ANDERSON, burglary, Nevada, August, ‘65, two years in State Prison - (previously pardoned) restored to citizenship March 16th.

  Charles W. GARLAND, alias William SPEED, grand larceny, Los Angeles, November, ‘65, ten years - pardoned March 8th, on condition that he leave the State never to return.

  Benjamin CARPENTER, grand larceny, Santa Cruz, November, ‘66, three years - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  Alexander GRIFFITH, grand larceny, San Francisco, November, ‘67, one year - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  George A. RUFFNER, manslaughter, San Joaquin, December, ‘62, ten years - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  Margaret HIBBARD, grand larceny, San Francisco, November, ‘66, two years - pardoned April 9th.

  S.D. GATEWOOD, murder in the second degree, Nevada, ten years - pardoned April 9th.

  Francisco SANCHEZ, grand larceny, San Mateo, July, ‘66, four years - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  H.H. STEENBERG, murder in the second degree, Tuolumne, July, 1867, fifteen years - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  Harvey LEE, grand larceny, Santa Clara, January, 1867, tow and a half years - pardoned April 9th.

  Morris FITZGERALD, grand larceny, Sacramento, two years - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  Moses FRANK, forgery, San Francisco, July, 1865, five years - April 9th.

  L.P. STONE, murder in the second degree, Nevada, October, 1858, thirty years - pardoned April 9th on condition that he leave the State, never to return.

  James FALKENBERRY, robbery, Amador, 1868, four years - pardoned and restored to citizenship April 9th.

  Joseph COFFIN, grand larceny, Mendocino, September, 1864, four years - pardoned and restored to citizenship May 1st.

  Ah FONG, murder in the second degree, Mariposa, twelve years - pardoned May 1st.

  Gustavus BARRON, grand larceny, Sutter, October, 1863, two years - (previously pardoned) restored to citizenship May 21st.

  Morris BURNSETIN, burglary, San Francisco, two years - pardoned and restored to citizenship May 20th.

  James A. SHOTWELL, forgery, San Francisco, August, ‘64, six years - pardoned June 2d, on condition that he leave the State, never to return.

  Octavius CORA, manslaughter, Alameda, March, ‘66, three years - pardoned June 2d.

  William CURREN, grand larceny, Yuba, four and a half years - pardoned July 16th.

  Andrew J. MILSAP, manslaughter, Colusa, December, ‘67, four years - pardoned and restored to citizenship July 31st.

  Victoriano QUINTO, murder in the second degree, San Mateo, for life - pardoned August 1st.

  Christobal MACHADO, branding, with intent to steal a horse, Tulare, July, ‘68, three years - pardoned and restored to citizenship September 8th.

  Julius BRISK, arson in the second degree, San Francisco, September, ‘66, three years - pardoned and restored to citizenship September 15th.

  John B. BROWN, murder in the second degree, Tulare, October, ‘60, twenty years - pardoned and restored to citizenship September 16th.

  Richard WIDDING, grand larceny, Solano, May, ‘64, one year - pardoned and restored to citizenship September 16th.

  Joseph HARRIS, burglary, San Francisco, May, ‘61, two years - September 25th.

  John McDONNELL, grand larceny, Solano, November, ‘65, one and a half years - pardoned and restored to citizenship October 1st.

  Annisito ARRILO, grand larceny, San Mateo, ‘66, three years - pardoned and restored to citizenship November 6th.

  Jose PIZARRO, murder in the second degree, Alameda, ‘64, ten years - pardoned December 4th.

 [During the year 1868 there were 189 prisoners discharged from the State Prison under an Act of the Legislature shortening the terms of confinement, for good behavior.]
