Robert W. Huston
The law firm of Huston, Huston
& Huston, of which Robert W. Huston is a member, practices at Woodland and
Sacramento and holds a high position in connection with the bar in the valley.
Robert W. Huston is in charge of the Sacramento office and maintains a high
standard of professional service. He was born in Woodland, Yolo county, August
6, 1900, and after attending the grammar and high schools of his native town
pursued a four years’ course in the law school of the University of California
at Berkeley. When eighteen years of
age, while still in college, he became a member of the Students Training Corps
of the University of California and he is now a second lieutenant in the
Officers Reserve Corps, attached to the Three Hundred and Sixty-first Regiment
of United States Infantry. He was admitted to practice at the bar of the state
September 2, 1925, and has made rapid progress in his chosen calling, proving
his ability to successfully handle intricate and involved legal problems.
Mr. Huston was married in 1923 to
Miss Claire Lowe, who was also born in Woodland, where they have many friends.
Mr. Huston has membership in the American Legion, the Lions Club of Woodland,
and the High Twelve Club, the last named being indicative of his connection
with the Masonic order. He gained his master’s degree in Woodland Lodge, No.
156, F. & A. M.; is identified with Woodland Chapter, No. 46, R. A. M.;
Woodland Commandery, No. 21, K. T.; and Ben Ali Temple of the Mystic Shrine in
Sacramento. He is also connected with the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce and
along strictly social lines is identified with the Yolo Fliers Club, the Del
Paso Country Club and the Sutter Club. His college fraternity is the Kappa
Sigma. He is alert and enterprising, ready for any emergency and for any
opportunity, and his salient qualities are such as promise future success.
