CARROLL OGDEN DUDLEY
CARROLL OGDEN DUDLEY--An indefatigable
worker, who became a successful contractor and builder through industry and
honest toil, is Carroll Ogden Dudley, who was born on November 7, 1882, at
Sacramento, Cal., the son of James and Elizabeth Dudley. His father, an expert carpenter, settled in California
in 1879. Carroll Ogden Dudley was
educated in the public schools, and after completing his school studies he
became an apprentice and learned the carpentering trade. He was Mr. L. G. Barton’s partner for two and
one-half years, dissolving the partnership when he sold out his interest and
went into business for himself. Mr.
Dudley has handled some of the largest jobs in the state, and is especially
interested in the building of fine residences and apartments.
On
the 27th day of September, 1909, at Sacramento,
Mr. Dudley was united in marriage to Miss Edna Sheets, of Indiana. They have been blessed with a son, Carroll
Ogden, Jr. In national politics Mr.
Dudley is a Republican. Fraternally, he
is a member of the Odd Fellow and the Masons, and is also a member of the
Builders’ Exchange. He is a great
booster of outdoor sports, and is very fond of hunting and fishing.
