JAMES AFFLECK
Augustus
James Affleck, pharmacist, was born in St. George, Utah, on February 23, 1893. The son of James T. (M.D.) and Elizabeth C. (Hardy).
He received his education at the
University of California where he received the Ph.G. degree and Stanford
University, from which he received the A.B. degree; pharmacist, clinical
laboratory technologist and analytical toxicologist.
Mr. Affleck established the Affleck
Laboratories in 1921, the A. J. Affleck Prescription Pharmacy in 1921 and the
A. J. Affleck Professional Pharmacy in 1951. The Pharmacies engage in
prescription work only. The Laboratories do clinical laboratory work for
physicians, analysis for all types of material for poisons, and serve as
Toxicologist to coroner of Sacramento County, California.

Order; Ben Ali Tempe of the Shrine; Sacramento Executives Association;
Sacramento Convention Bureau; Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, California State
Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Affleck married Vedah E. Morrow in 1922 at Sacramento, California;
Children: James A., born October 31, 1930 (student at Stanford University) and
Marilyn E., born January 16, 1934 (student at Stanford University). The family
home is at 2722 Coleman Way, Sacramento, California.
