*Beegum, Cottonwood and Manton are near the Tehama-Shasta line and have been in both counties, probably by change of site.

Beegum was established in Shasta County, and transferred to Tehama 18 Jan 1900.

Cottonwood was established in Shasta County, moved to Tehama 28 March 1860, and back to Shasta 20 September 1872.

Manton was established in Tehama County, moved to Shasta 11 August 1897, and back to Tehama 29 April 1898.

†Transferred into Tehama County when created: Moon's Ranch from Colusa Co., Red Bluff from Shasta Co., Tehama from Colusa Co.

‡The record reports Pine Creek, Butte County, changed to Vina, Tehama County, 4 April 1871. Apparently there must have been change of site, as the Butte-Tehama boundary is reported to have been fixed in 1859.

*Kingsburg is reported in Tulare County, after its name was changed from Wheatville, until April 1881 or after. Its presence in Tulare County is doubtful, as indicated by note under Fresno County. The absence of mention of Wheatville, its predecessor, among the offices shown for Tulare County, supports that doubt.

Waukena is reported to have been in Kings County briefly in 1893-4.

See note under Kings County.
