*Established in Mono County, into Inyo County probably when boundary was changed in 1870.

†Established in Tulare County, into Inyo County when created.

Tecopa was established in San Bernardino County, reported “into Inyo Co.” 11 June 1880; and back into San Bernardino 19 June 1880, where it was discontinued 23 May 1881. The change was either a change of site or an error. Tecopa was re-established in Inyo County 28 June 1881, and is since reported in that county when operating.

*Established in Tulare County; into Kings when created. But after 23 Sept 1910, records carry Dudley in Kern County, which can be explained only by a change of site.

†Established in Tulare County; into Kern when created.

‡Keysville, established in Tulare County, is recorded as changed to Kernville in Kern County 23 April 1868. As Kern County was created in 1866, it must have contained Keysville for some two years, although not so shown in the postal records.
