IRVING M.
WALKER
Irving M. Walker, lawyer, was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 9, 1885, son of Walter and Mary Sydnor (Perkins).
After graduating from high school in Louisville, Kentucky, he attended the University of Virginia, graduating with the B.A. degree in 1905; was admitted to the California bar in 1906, and practiced individually until1914. He has been associated with the following firms: Loeb, Walker & Loeb; Walker, Adams, Duque & Smith; Walker, Adams & Duque. Since 1946 he has again practiced individually, Los Angeles, California.
He is a director of various corporations, including the California Bank; chairman of the board of Scripps College; president of Travelers Aid Society of Los Angeles; trustee of Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Hospital of the Good Samaritan, Claremont College and other similar institutions.
Mr. Walker is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (president, 1931-32), California State Bar Association (former member and vice president of Board of Governors) and American Bar Association; Kappa Alpha (So.)fraternity; and the following clubs: California, University, Los Angeles Stock Exchange, Sunset, and Bel-Air Country. His recreational interests are golf and trout fishing.
In 1914, Mr. Walker married Evangeline E. Duque. They have one daughter, Elita, born in 1917.
