IRVING M. WALKER

 

 

      As a result of the success he has achieved in the conduct of numerous important cases during his 21 years of activity in the practice of law, Irving M. Walker, member of the firm of Loeb, Walker & Loeb, of Los Angeles, has assumed a prominent position among members of the California bar.

      Mr. Walker is a native of Kentucky, and was born in 1885 in Louisville, where he received his preparatory educational training in public schools. He then entered the University of Virginia, and after graduating with the B. A. degree in 1905, moved to Los Angeles, where he received his legal training under the preceptorship of Frank J. Thomas. He was admitted to the California bar in 1906.

      The firm of Loeb, Walker & Loeb was organized in 1914. They engage in general civil practice, but specialize in corporation law, and represent as Counsel many important concerns, including the Llewellyn Iron Works, Alvin H. Frank & Co., Metcalf & Ryan, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Universal Pictures Corp., Joseph M. Schenck Productions, Inc., Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co. of California, Union Bank & Trust Co., and the Federal Trust & Savings Bank of Hollywood.

      Mr. Walker holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is Vice President of the Travelers Aid Society of Los Angeles, a Trustee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and of Scripps College for Women. He is also a member of the California Club, University Club, Sunset Club, Garden Club, Bel Air Country Club, The Gables, and Los Angeles Tennis Club. In 1914 he married Evangeline E. Duque and they have one daughter, Elita G. He has many friends and acquaintances among his colleagues, and bears the reputation of adhering at all times to the highest standards, both personal and professional.
