JOHN CARY
SUTHERLAND
John Cary Sutherland, president of Allied Compensation Insurance Company, was born in Rockford, Illinois, May 5, 1906; the son of Harry and Maude (Perkins) Sutherland. He received his education in the public schools of Oakland, California.
Mr. Sutherland was branch manager of the State Compensation Insurance Fund at Stockton and Sacramento, California, 1930 to 1937; assistant manager of California Compensation Company, Los Angeles, 1937 to 1942; production manager of Industrial Indemnity Company, Los Angeles, 1944 to 1945; and has been president of Allied Compensation Insurance Company, Los Angeles, since 1945. Also has been general manager of Compensation General Agency since 1945.
Mr. Sutherland married Barbara Gabriel on July 19, 1939, and has two children, John Cary, Jr., and Linda.
