WILLIAM WOLFSKILL SABICHI

William Wolfskill Sabichi is a member of one of the Los Angeles County’s old and highly honored families, being a son of the late Frank and Magdalena (Wolfskill) Sabichi, specific mention of whom is made above.  He was born in Los Angeles, California, April 15, 1883, and is one of the thirteen children who blessed the union of his parents, six of whom are still living in this state.  He received his education in private and public schools, completing his scholastic work at St. Vincent College.  For a number of years he was successfully engaged in the handling of oil securities, and at the present time is actively interested in the development of this great Southern California industry.  Since 1922 he has been secretary and general manager of the Sabichi estate, which he has handled in an able and judicious manner.  The Sabichi Company, a family holding, was incorporated December 27, 1922, with the following officers:  Dr. George C. Sabichi, president; Dr. Joseph R. Sabichi, vice president; William W. Sabichi, secretary and manager; and Mrs. Beatrice Mitchell, treasurer.  The directors for the company include the above mentioned officers together with L. M. Sabichi, Dr. H. A. Putnam and Arthur C. Hurt.

On the 1st of August, 1911, in Los Angeles, Mr. Sabichi was united in marriage to Miss Irene Kelly, of San Francisco.  They make their residence at 2107 Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica.

Mr. Sabichi is a stanch republican in his politic views but is nevertheless a great admirer of President Roosevelt.  He is keenly interested in public affairs, though in no sense a seeker after the honors of public office.  He is a member of the Los Angeles Athletic Club, Santa Monica Athletic Club and the Casa Del Mar Beach Club.  His religious faith is that of the Roman Catholic Church.  Though quite and unassuming in manner, he is a man of high civic and social ideals and commands the respect of all who have dealings with him.
