DONALD ROYCE
Donald Royce, partner of William R. Staats & Co., Los Angeles, is the son of Luman Herbert and Mayme (Gardner) Royce. He was born in Crestline, Ohio, on February 7, 1900.
Student at Pennsylvania State College from 1917 to 1919; then at Centre College, Danville, Kentucky, from 1919 to 1920.
From 1920 to 1932, Mr. Royce was an investment salesman for the National City Company of New York City, starting as a salesman in 1920 and then assistant vice president from 1929 to 1932; vice president and director of Blyth & Co., Inc., investment bankers, from 1932 to 1947; president and director of William R. Staats Co. From 1947 to 1951; now partner, William R. Staats & Co., Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Royce is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity; California, Los Angeles Bond and Stock Exchange Clubs (Los Angeles); Bel Air Bay Club and Beach Club. He is a Republican and Congregationalist.
Mr. Royce is a director of the following corporations: American Mail Line, Ltd.; Capitol Records, Inc.; Filtrol Corporation; Fluor Corporation; Hugoton Plains Gas & Oil co.; Norris-Thermador Corporation; Purex Corp., Ltd; The Stuart Co.; Van Camp Sea Food Co.
On September 10, 1923, Mr. Royce married Laura Roberts and they have three children: Donald, Suzanne and Sally. Their home is at 1123 San Vicente Blvd., Santa Monica, California.
