VICTOR HENRY ROSSETTI

 

Victor Henry Rossetti, banker, was born February 19, 1877, at Virginia City, Nevada the son of Alexander and Madalena (Bassetti).

Educated in public schools of Nevada City 1998-1893 and San Francisco chapter American Institute of Banking.

Commencing his business career in 1892 as an apprentice with Walker Lake Bulletin a weekly paper, timekeeper, Spring Valley Water Company, San Francisco, California 1893 and during the same year joined the Wells Fargo Bank, San Francisco, where he rose to assistant cashier in 1905 which position he held until 1911 when he joined the Farmers and merchants National Bank of Los Angeles as cashier, vice president and cashier 1917 and president since his election in 1931. Mr. Rossetti is chairman of the board of Founders Fire and Marine Insurance Company; director, Alamitos Land, Los Angeles Soap, Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Companies; Garrett Corporation; director and member executive committee Southern Pacific Company; director Metropolitan Water District of South California; Friends, Huntington Library, Los Angeles Orthopedic Foundation; chairman of the Board of Regents, Loyola University, Los Angeles, California; voting trustee Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company; member executive committee Los Angeles Clearing House Association.

His club memberships include, California and Los Angeles Stock Exchange, Los Angeles, Pacific Union, San Francisco, California.

Married June 20, 1906 to Irene A. Sievestri, their children being Eleanor Mae and Victor H., Jr.

Home is at 925 San Marino Avenue, San Marino, California.
