JOHN BERNARD RAUEN

 

John Bernard Rauen, president of United States Spring and Bumper Company, was born in Waconia, Minnesota, August 11, 1888; the son of Bernard and Caroline (Maurus) Rauen.

He received his education in the parochial grade schools and high schools in Waconia, Minnesota.

Mr. Rauen was assistant bank cashier with the Farmers State Bank of Waconia, Minnesota, from 1908 to 1911. Then general manager, secretary and treasurer for the United States Spring and Bumper Company from 1917 to 1932 and has been president of same since 1933, Los Angeles, California.

Member of the Probation Committee, County of Los Angeles, since 1947; member of California Manufacturers Association for twenty-seven years; past director and member of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce for over thirty years; member and director of American Ordnance Association, Los Angeles Post; member and director of Governing Board of Society of Automotive Engineers; member of Merchants & Manufacturers Association; and member and director of Vernon Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Rauen holds membership in the following clubs: Jonathan, California, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Country, Newman (Los Angeles, California); Balboa Bay Club (Newport Beach, California); Detroit Athletic, and Recess (Detroit, Michigan).

On Januay 27, 1920, Mr. Rauen married Agnes Earley and they have three children: Margaret Carolyn, John Bernard, Jr. and Patrick Thomas.
