HENRY FERRIS PRINCE

 

 

      Another member of the California bar who has attained splendid success in the practice of his profession is Henry F. Prince, member of the well known law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, of Los Angeles. Although he has been in practice for less than 15 years, he has conducted numerous important pieces of litigation, and has amply demonstrated his ability and knowledge of the law.

      Mr. Prince is a native of Illinois, and was born in 1889 at Galesburg, where he obtained his preparatory educational training in public schools. He attended Knox College, of Galesburg, which conferred on him the B. S. degree in 1911, then entered Harvard University, which conferred on him the LL. B. degree in 1914. The same year he moved to Los Angeles and was admitted to the California bar.

      The firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, of which Mr. Prince is a member, is one of the best known in California. They engage in general civil practice, specializing in corporation and public utility law, also probate and the legality of bond issues. They are accorded a representative clientele, and are Counsel for such interests as the Southern Edison Co., Los Angeles Railway Corp., Huntington Land & Improvement Co., Central Manufacturing District, Inc., Wilmington Transportation Co., Santa Catalina Island Co., and Pacific Coast Co., as well as a number of the best known bond houses in the city.

      Mr. Prince holds membership in the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, and Los Angeles County Bar Association, as well as Phi Delta Theta fraternity, the California Club, University Club, Los Angeles City Club, and Los Angeles Athletic Club. In 1915 he married Marie A. Smith.
